They're HERE!

They're here! My (oh, such a SMOKIN' deal!) chess boards! To get boards the HUGE size I need for my chess set, I've been pricing them for months and seen NOTHING less than $130 each (before shipping) and prices topping $450 for custom marble boards. These were on sale for $60 a piece plus shipping, and they're EXACTLY what I needed.

The boards are a whopping 26" x 26" with 2 3/8" squares. Your standard boards are usually between 13" x 13" and 16" x 16". These boards top 10 POUNDS a piece (a factor that put a big kink in the shipping) and are made from beautiful Maccassar Ebony & Maple. It doesn't really show in the pictures, but these boards are mighty impressive in person. I've added my one complete etched jar and a measuring tape to try to give a sense of scale.

Also a big thank you to LOSTBean for facilitating the shipping for me. Her assistance saved me quite a few bucks, and she did it all on a gimpy foot.
