Friday night excitement!
At 8:55 PM last night (My store closes at 9 on Fridays) a customer walked in. Since it's January and I can use every last dollar I can get my hands on, I didn't shoo him away. Not knowing how long he'd browse, I grabbed a paint brush and did this.
A single layer of Bright Green mixed about 5:1 with Dark Brown. The true colour is somewhere in between the two pictures below. The flash makes it brighter than it really is, but without the flash it looks too dark.
I'm continuing to work on the "simple" figures until I get my confidence level up a bit. It's been years since I did this kind of stuff, so it's almost like learning the skills all over again. Figures like The Thing and The Hulk that are larger and have simple colour schemes are perfect for the pseudo-beginner.
HULK SMASH!! Flash off.
HULK SMASH!! Flash on.
In case you're wondering, the guy didn't buy a thing.
If my Friday nights were any more exciting, I'd get arrested.
