New figures, comparisons and touches.
On a quiet Saturday, I had time to make a start on two new figures, The Scorpion and Dr. Doom. Note that the same base of Medium Green darkened with brown works for these two just as it did for the Hulk. Each will naturally get more layers and the "direction" of the green will be different than the Hulk, but it's convenient to re-use previously mixed colours, so I do. The scorpion will stay "browner" while Doc Doom goes more "real" green. Just the front, since the backs aren't that interesting.

For comparison, I popped the Hulk into a shot. Flash off.

Also for comparison, since Newbie mentioned that it was surprising that the Hulk and the Thing were the "large" figures, here's the smallest one, Yoda.
Minor touch up to the Hulk's face around the eyes, plus I painted his hair dark green. It gets a bunch of lovely highlights before his "do" is done. Further, a very light over all dry brush with that same darker green to dull down a few of the too bright areas.

These look great. The Thing looks amazing.

Thanks JDH!
Actually, the Thing is VERY close to being finished. Probably 3 or 4 more layers of really light dry brushing to pick out detail and then the BLUE eyes! Once all that's done, he'll get "washed" with a very diluted dark brown paint to pick out a few of the deeper crevasses that ended up with lighter paint in them....
Hulk too, is pretty close to finished. I have some work on his face, a few layers of colour for his hair and some touches here and there, then the "wash" very dark green/brown.
